For the past two weeks I've been conducting a science experiment concerning, time, distance, and speed. My findings may alter the course of human history and bring a new era of enlightenment.
Or, it may just help me get to work faster.
Simply, I've been timing how long it takes me to get to work and popping in the numbers into an Excel spreadsheet to find the average time of my commute, which as it turns out, is about 35 minutes. It's about five minutes longer on the drive back.
Until recently, I've been filling in the time listening to songs on my iPod shuffle. This is great and all, but listening to music day after day tends to get a little boring. This is why, thanks to a handy BitTorrent website, I've been listening to the BBC radio show of the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy.
With the movie in theaters, I finally decided to follow Olly's recommendation to listen to the radio show instead of picking up the book. The radio show actually preceded the book, which I read way back in middle school and don't really remember anything that happened in it except for the destruction of the Earth and something about mice being pan-dimensional creatures.
Anyway, if you're familiar with BitTorrent, I suggest you head over here and download a copy for yourself. I don't think it's unethical, considering that I can't find a copy of the radio show on Amazon, only the audio book.
