Shouldn't it be Trunk Ape?

I caught one of these Trunk Monkey commercials a few weeks ago on one of those websites that caters toward the "bored and online" crowd. It was a pretty clever and funny ad, and I noticed it was for a local Chevy/Ford dealership. I was a little surprised that I haven't seen one on TV yet.

I assume I must have been the only one who hadn't seen the Trunk Monkey till now, because there's four of these commercials and they're being syndicated across the U.S. for other dealerships. The Oregonian printed a piece in today's living section and interviewed the creators and sponsors of the Trunk Monkey.

I think it's probably the best cheap ad campaign (at $50,000) to come out of Oregon. Though for sheer cult status, Tom Peterson reigns king. Oh, and I guess I shouldn't forget to mention Eugene's Mr. Appliance.

me too! We don't have weird commercials here. Except there is an ad on a bus stop bench that is for a roto-rooter type business and their number is 286-POOP. No joke.

Trunk Monkey rules. I went to those guy's office the other day and they have all these anti-Bush stuff they've made. And, they have a keggerator, shuffleboard, video game room, and pool table in thier office. /sigh

    Here's their site:

    286-POOP? That's awesome.

I had to look up "keggerator" on Google in order to understand what one is. Now that I know, I must have one.

Also, I really like the "high scores" T-shirt.
