Two days ago I was over at Dave's house with some friends enjoying a rainy-day barbeque. After retreating inside with our beers, our host treated us to some great music videos by the UK duo Hexstatic, which included one filled with movie clips of ninjas fighting each other with swords while making that sweet "WA-CHING!" sound.

The video had the look of a vintage 70's martial arts movie (with the bad film and audio), but strangely most of the ninjas were caucasian and though the spoken parts sounded as if they were dubbed they matched the actors' lips. Anyway, I've been trying to find the video through Google with no luck, though I haven't checked out Kazaa and Soulseek yet.

Another video featured Atari games, a Speak & Spell, an electonic Simon game, and other 80's toys and games. Totally rad and seizure-inducing.

In the meantime, you should go to the Hexstatic website and watch their other videos, especially "Deadly Media."

In other Cuponoodles news, I'm heading up to Portland today for an interview with a local newspaper. I'll let all of you know how it goes tomorrow afternoon.

I think the coolest sound ever is when a ninja is fighting another ninja (or a samurai) with a sword and the swords hit together and go:

WA-CHING!

That's pretty cool, I think.

After paying for the domain and the hosting space, installing MovableType, and messing around with CSS and HTML for two days, Cuponoodles is finally up and running.

I think it looks good, don't you agree?

So what's next for Cuponoodles? Well, I'm not exactly sure about that. There will be plenty of random things o' fun that I find on the internet. Things about robots. Things about monkeys. Things about robot monkeys. It will be fun!

There will probably be commentary on local things especially once I move out of Eugene to a place exciting enough where being outraged that Too Much Coffee Man kicked a cat in a recent issue of the Eugene Weekly (scroll down to "Overcaffeinated") is the last thing on everyone's mind.

There will also be photos. Well, more photos as soon as I make enough money to buy myself a new digital camera. My friend Sam's scratch-tastic kitten broke the last one. It was my fault for leaving the cord dangling from the edge of a table like a tempting piece of string. Now it doesn't focus very well and the LCD blinks the words "system error" every time I turn it on. Still, it managed to take the last few photos in the "recently" page of the photo section of this site. Sigh. Oh well, I can always borrow one of my parents' cameras if I live at home.

So that's all I have planned. Maybe there will be other interesting things to come, maybe not. I hope you'll stick around and enjoy the site. Word.
